• Worked with the Platform team, Flight team, and MoveTix team (a new line of business) on every new feature for AirAsia MOVE.
• Deployed new features, new and existing workflows, and bug fixes across the whole superapp and the newly migrated platform.
• Migrated and refactored the superapp architecture from a monorepo (Swift + Kotlin/Java + React Native) to fully Next.js and React Native.
• Mainly worked on both platforms — the superapp and AirAsia web.
• Worked as a team player and took ownership of the MoveTix codebase.
• Converted the MoveTix project from client-side rendering (CSR) to full server-side rendering (SSR) using Next.js, and improved SEO across the whole project.
• Worked with the team on code collaboration, merge requests, smoke and regression testing, UAT on staging and pre-production, CI/CD pipeline optimization, and cache optimization on the app, browser, and GCP side.
• Performed on-call rotation for every new release deployed to the superapp and AirAsia web.
• Demoed new releases and gathered feedback from leadership and stakeholders, and joined monthly meetings with leadership on plans and direction.
• Referenced Figma designs and built components in Storybook, and wrote automated tests with Jest and Playwright to catch bugs before release.
• Managed app versioning and shipped over-the-air updates with CodePush.
• Led a proof of concept to replace CodePush with Expo EAS Update, along with other alternatives, after CodePush was deprecated, so the app's over-the-air update workflow could keep running smoothly.
• Led a proof of concept to migrate the app's legacy bridge modules to the new bridgeless Turbo Native Modules architecture in React Native, to prepare the codebase for the new architecture.
• Led a proof of concept to migrate the app's trace logging to the Embrace SDK, and explored pushing these logs to AirAsia's own server as well, so the team would have full control over the log data instead of relying only on Embrace's platform.

Kuala Lumpur

• Build and maintain features across several projects, including Aeon Personal Loan, LoanPlus Lender Web Portal, LoanPlus Mobile, and Affin Bank Investment App.
• Work mainly with React JS and React Native.
• Work closely with a cross-functional team — Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and UI/UX designers — in an agile setup with sprint planning and demos every two weeks.
• Review pull requests and pair program with the team to keep code quality high.

Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

• Worked directly with the client, DirecTV, across projects like Client App, Tizen, and CDVR.
• Used You.i, React Native, Redux, C++, Java, Swift, and Webpack depending on the project.
• Handled feature and bug tickets by breaking each feature into sub-tasks (spike, questions for the client, development, and more), so the product owner and client could estimate the work better.
• Did code refactoring and PR reviews together with the team lead, team members, and DirecTV engineers.
• Helped other teams during crunch time on high-priority tickets.
• Helped improve analytics tracking on the platform, using New Relic and Grafana.

Singapore

• Worked on a government pension fund project built with Angular 11, completing many features and bug fixes each sprint.
• Worked on Accenture's custom Angular UI library (also Angular 11), fixing various bugs.
• Found and cleaned up duplicated code, and reviewed teammates' code daily to keep quality high.
• Worked closely with the squad lead, Business Analyst, and UI/UX designer — reproducing and fixing bugs, and reviewing code through pull requests.

Wilayah Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur

• Built a mobile app called Smart School with Ionic 5 and Angular 9 — it handles student registration, lets parents and teachers monitor students, and includes a cashless canteen where students pay with e-cash.
• Maintained internal mobile apps running on Ionic 5, Ionic 3, and Ionic 1.
• Converted Figma designs into working Ionic pages.
• Built a demo Face + MyKad verification app with Angular 9 and Node JS, integrating the Innov8tif API and Jumio SDK, and deployed it on Heroku.
• Wrote documentation for the software built, and researched third-party AI chat for mobile.

Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

• Published and maintained the beep | care mobile app on Play Store and App Store, built with Meteor JS, React JS, React Native, Expo, Redux, and SQLite.
• Maintained the APIs for the app (beep.care), built with Laravel and MySQL, and tested with Insomnia.
• Used Jira and a Kanban/sprint board for work tracking, and Slack for team communication.
• Worked directly with clients at times, gathering feedback on issues or bugs found in the system and app.

Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur

• Maintained modules in the Y5ZONE dashboard admin system, built with Laravel and MySQL.
• Built the Y5ZONE Ads System from scratch, using Laravel and MySQL.

Petaling Jaya, Selangor

• Updated the layouts for corporate websites, including tenaganita.net and beuwerry.com, using Django (Python) and PostgreSQL.
• Built a demo corporate website with a basic CMS, using Django (Python) and PostgreSQL.

Setia Alam, Selangor

• Built a clinical training management system with CakePHP, for nursing students and supervisors to manage clinical training.
